About Merge PDF
Combining PDF files without uploading them
Merging PDFs is one of the most common document operations — combining signed contracts, assembling a portfolio, or joining scanned pages into a single file. Most free online merge tools require uploading your documents to a server you don't control, which is a non-starter for anything sensitive.
Our Merge PDF tool uses the pdf-lib library to combine PDFs entirely in your browser. The library reads each PDF into memory, copies its pages into a new combined document, and offers the result as a download. Your files never touch a server.
How to order pages
After uploading two or more PDFs, you'll see them listed with up/down arrows. Drag them into the order you want — the first file becomes the first pages of the merged PDF, the second file appends after that, and so on. You can also remove individual files before merging if you change your mind.
The merge preserves all original content: text, images, form fields, and embedded fonts. Page size and orientation stay exactly as they were in the source files.
